This Is Where You See Me

Come to the premiere of this year’s major festival commission This Is Where You See Me by the Danish saxophonist Julie Kjær. She has created a star cast with Mandhira de Saram (violin), Alice Eldridge (cello), John Edwards (bass), Samuel Stoll (horn) and Mark Sanders (percussion). The music is based on composition and free improvisation, an exploration of the acoustic sounds of the instruments via extended techniques – with a touch of folk music.

Also experience this year’s winner of the Ars Electronica prize Golden Nica, the Belgian sound and noise artist Cedrik Fermont, in a completely new encounter with the Vietnamese electronic musician Luong Hue Trinh. Their performance is a completely new version of Fermont’s project Not Your World Music. Noise in South East Asia.
